Yellow Springs Arts Council member and Crafty Pants Craft Night originator Chelle Palassis will be holding new art classes for kids (and eventually adults) in her barn studio at 2625 US Route 68 North in Yellow Springs. Classes will be offered Monday-Friday, June 10-August 19.Monday through Thursday classes will be held from 9 a.m.- noon with an art opening of the children’s finest work Thursday evening from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. All artwork will be brought home at that time. The classes are ideal for children entering grades 1 through 6.
Every Friday: Messy Monet. Starting June 10 through July 8, 1 p.m.-4 p.m.- learn how to create like the impressionists with paint, chalk, and crayons. Explore working quickly then how to refine your work.

June 13-16
Portraits - learn the ABC’s of proportion as we draw and paint from our classmate’s and our own faces. Work from very small to a larger size.
June 20-23
Landscapes- learn how to create plein air or “in the open air” drawings and paintings. Work on easels and find the perfect scenery from our spacious five-acre yard.
June 27-30
Blockheads - learn how to think outside the block with cubism. Learn how to take every day scenes and square them off with angles and edges. We will work with paint.
