Community Band to entertain at Strawberry Festival

Friday night, June 10, at the Presbyterian Church

Strawberry Festival starts at 6:00 p.m. Baton drops at 7:00.

On the menu, besides strawberries and ice cream:

The Purple Pageant Concert March - King
William Tell Overture - Rossini
Amazing Grace - Ticheli
The Vanished Army - Alford
Girl with the Flaxen Hair - Debussy
The Love of Three Oranges - Prokofieff
Ammerland - de Haan
Mary Poppins - Sherman & Sherman

Weather permitting, dining will be done on the front lawn and the band will set up in the adjacent US Bank drive-thru. While it is doubtful that the church will provide seconds of strawberries for free, the band, having recently played a concert with different music, will gladly perform an encore at no extra charge. So let's hear those shouts of "Bravo" and "Encore." And, by the way, look for yours truly in the trumpet section.

Just a note to let you know that the food vendors will be setting up on Friday night on Walnut St. so that there will only be parking on the east side of Walnut, not in front of Mills Lawn. Thanks for this great event and for your great cooperation for Street Fair.
