June 21
Yoga Springs instructor Carmen Milano is coordinating a Yellow Springs Summer Solstice Event featuring outdoor yoga, drumming, joyful noises of music and voice and community. Come and celebrate the longest day of sunlight on the front lawn of the John Bryan Center.
Tuesday, June 21
7:30 p.m.: time to show up and stake out a spot on the lawn.
8 p.m.: Start of the 30-minute community yoga practice. Bring a mat or towel or simply use nature's gift of grass.
(Want the good times to last a little longer? Attend Monica Hasek’s 6-7:15 p.m. Hatha Yoga Level 1 & 2 class at Yoga Springs Studio, 108 Dayton Street. Drop-in fee for this class is $13. Then saunter down the hill to the Bryan Center lawn to continue the experience.)
Bring a drum, shaky thing, wind or string instrument, anything that you would like to use to express yourself and join in the hum of the day. Free and family-friendly!
Contact Carmen at yoga4wellness@gmail.com or call Yoga Springs Studio at 767-9300 for more info.
