The 10th Yellow Springs Artist Studio Tour and Sale

The 2010 Yellow Springs Artist Studio tour is the tenth consecutive tour. To celebrate this guest artists have been invited to participate. Eight extraordinary Yellow Springs artists are participating and hosting eleven-guest artist. Most of the studios will have 2-3 artists exhibiting their work.




The studios will be open to the public this weekend, Sat., Oct. 16 and Sun. Oct. 17 from 11 am to 6 pm. The Studio Tour features ceramics, paintings, fiber arts, mixed media arts, sculptures, jewelry , wooden clocks and more. Many of these artists are nationally and internationally acclaimed through a variety of awards, accolades, articles, books and exhibitions.

This years hosts include returning artists: Pam Geisel, Lisa Goldberg, Bruce Grimes, Tom Hawley, Geno Luketic, Naysan McIlhargey, Kathy Verner Moulton, and Alice Robrish. The guest artists include Yellow Springs artists Dianne Collinson, pottery; Lori Gravley, fiber; Cynthia McDonald, gourds; Theresa Mayer, glass; and new resident Alice Young-Basora, jewelry. Former resident and tour participant Kate (Meinki) and her husband Dave Chesar, are both potters and are returning this year as guests.

One of the featured guest artists is Jeweler Donna D’Aquino. Although Donna was once an Ohio resident, she now lives in New York City. Her sophisticated work has won numerous awards and was featured in Vogue, Italia last year. Her jewelry is in collections across the country.

Other guest include Columbus artists Jim Devore, paintings, and Kami Meighan, glass; Kettering artist J Austin Jennings, paintings, and Dola artist Bruce Chesser, pottery.

This free, self-guided driving tour provides an opportunity for collectors and art enthusiasts alike to personally visit these creative artists studios and get a head start on their holiday shopping. Patrons can buy beautiful artwork directly from the artist while getting a first hand look at their studios.
