There is more good news! There were two other students from YSHS whose plays were selected. The Dayton Daily News made a mistake. They reported that these two were from Stivers. NO! They live in Y. S. and attend YSHS.
They are: Stephany Lewis and Shirlisa Scott. Shirlisa lives at 586 Ridgecrest Drive, 767 7987 with her grandparents, Charles and Judy Scott. I am fortunate to be her next door neighbor.
Shirlisa is a prize winning writer (at YSHS), poet and photographer. She has been accepted at Wright State and awarded several scholarships. She is severely visually impaired yet a splendid student and a very helpful neighbor.
I have contacted the DDN about their mistake but doubt if they correct it. Maybe, if they cover the Schuster performances they will correctly identify all three as Yellow Springs High School students.
