Bark Park back at Ellis Pond

Before an overflow crowd last night, Village Council voted 4-1 to approve the construction of a dog park at Ellis Pond Park. After the last village council meeting, it appeared that Council was leaning toward putting the pooches near the water towers at Gaunt Park. However, there was sufficient Gaunt Park neighbor opposition and village staff input to convince them otherwise.

One council member reported after the meeting, "This discussion drew a bigger crowd than I’ve seen on a subject in years although the discussion was respectful."
