Drawing from her 2009 master’s thesis in Media Studies (Univ of Western Ontario) The Antioch Debacle: A Corporatist Misadventure in Higher Education, Antioch alum Kerstin Cornell’s talk situates the Antioch College’s 2008 closure within the framework of current trends in higher education, profoundly influenced by neoliberal economics. Plans are now being made to reopen Antioch College in 2011.
