Man with local roots joins WYSO news team

Wayne Baker becomes WYSO Clark County reporter

WYSO Public Radio welcomes veteran journalist Wayne Baker to its news staff as Clark County reporter.

After an extensive search, Baker has been chosen to fill the part time position on the WYSO news staff. He will cover Clark County news and events and his reports will be heard on WYSO news programming and the Sunday morning magazine programWYSO Weekend.

He takes over from Juliet Fromholt, who will continue to report for WYSO on a variety of subjects.

Baker is a graduate of Yellow Springs High School and Central State University. His career includes stints at the Dayton Daily News, Xenia Gazette, Southbridge News and Ohio Community Media.

"I am so very looking forward to being a part of the WYSO news team. Neenah Ellis has assembled a very dedicated staff. I am excited about this opportunity."

The Clark County position at WYSO is funded by a grant from the Springfield Foundation.
