On Sunday, May 23 from 2-4 p.m. at the Glen Helen Building, there will be a community reception to honor YSHS/McKinney School Principal John Gudgel upon his retirement after 30 years of service to the Yellow Springs Schools as a teacher and principal.Gudgel has served as Principal of Yellow Springs High School/McKinney School for ten years. A 1975 graduate of YSHS, he earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Toledo and a Masters Degree from the University of Dayton. A state track champion while in high school, Gudgel has coached the track team to seven state titles.
