Friday - Needle Nirvana

This Friday, May 7, there will be two crafting opportunities for needlework enthusiasts.

The Flower Power Sew-In continues at Brother Bear’s Café on Friday mornings, from 9 to noon. Join the growing community to create beautiful felt flowers to decorate various sites on Dayton Street. Last Friday, Evelyn Greene, left, celebrated her day off from school and came in to work beside Johanna Smith. Visit jafagirls.wordpress.com and click on “Flower Power Project” for more details.

Then, from 1-3 p.m., the First Friday of the Month Knitting Circle will meet at the YS Library. All participants and needlework projects are welcome (not just knitting). Plenty of table space is provided to spread out and work. Flower Power participants are encouraged to come and continue their craft. Last month, participants Mary Agna, Therese Krupp, and Jan Goodwin each worked on their individual knitting projects. New knitters welcome and gently instructed.
