Saturday at Clifton Opera House

The Clifton Opera House has become known as a venue for fine bluegrass and Americana roots music. On Saturday, July 9th the Sterling Bluegrass Boys will take the stage at 7:30pm. Located at 5 So. Clay Street, the Opera House box office opens its doors at 6:30pm.

Sterling Bluegrass Boys have been playing bluegrass music for 9 years. The band members are Dave Huffman on banjo, Denver Hixon on dobro, Gordon Payne on fiddle, Danny Crawford on guitar, and David Sweet on bass. The band has played at the Ross County Fair for 3 years and the Pickawy County Fair for 4 years. They have played at Caesars Creek Flea Market for 6 years during the summer months on the outdoor stage.

They have traveled to many festivals including the Stringbean Festival in Grayhawk, KY and the Poppy Mountain Festival in Morehead, KY. The band also played at the Ohio State Fair in 2009. In October the band will be playing at the Pumpkin Festival in Circleville and the Sauerkraut Festival.

The boys truly enjoy the music and entertain the crowd. Along with the music, they have 4 CD's available and are looking forward to playing at the Clifton Opera House in 2011.
