A new benchmark for A Yellow Springs Blog was reached today when the hit counter rolled over the 100,000 mark. While that number itself does not carry much weight as an absolute measurement of readership, it is nevertheless gratifying to the blogger who remembers the first time he turned on the counter and discovered to his joy that the Blog was getting about 40 hits per day. These days the number averages around 350 and sometimes soars over the 500 mark. And that is the true value of counting the hits. The 350 hits per day relative to the 40 hits per day less than two years ago is meaningful a measure of the Blog's growth.
Thanks to all of the Blog's readers and advertisers. May our relationship continue to grow.
