As this day, the deadline for signing an agreement whereby the Antioch Alumni would purchase Antioch College from Antioch University, approached, both sides were optimistic there would be a meeting of the minds. That's lawyer talk for signing on the bottom line. Lawyers would probably also tell you something else: The agreement will be so full of contingency clauses that it won't mean much until it is closed at the end of August. Nevertheless, it is an important step. No one wants a black hole in the center of town.
