Quilting workshops

Have you ever wanted to try making an art quilt? The Miami Valley Art Quilt Network is hosting an art quilt workshop in Yellow Springs. The group will meet on the first Tuesday of the month (with no meeting the month of December and the January meeting will be on the second Tuesday). They will meet from 7-9 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 314 Xenia Ave. in Yellow Springs.

 

The group will be doing hands-on exercises and working from the book “Adventures in Design” by Joen Wolfrom with the goal of finishing several art quilts by May 2013. Participants do not have to have read the book before starting.

 

The cost for the workshops is $1 per meeting which will be donated to the church. Quilters who wish to participate are required to become members of the Miami Valley Art Quilt Network by the second meeting. The annual dues are $15.
