Saturday at Clifton Opera House

As Bruce Long will tell you; the group took the “Long” road to get to where they are today. Bruce and Doug Long started playing rock and roll back in the 60’s with their band the Pypes, playing sock-hops, clubs and the “Battle of the Bands” all over central Ohio. Phil’s roots started in country music with his band, “Phil Long and the Long Branch”. In the 90’s, Dennis and Doug teamed up to form the “Long Island Band”. A few years back, the boys told sister Jyl it was time to take up the fiddle and join the group. The band rounded out the group when they adopted Paul and Dan as honorary cousins. With a blend of diverse musical backgrounds, the band today plays everything from country, bluegrass, gospel, old rock and roll and easy listening sing-a-longs. ALL THINGS AMERICANA! Check the band out on facebook! Go to lbjfarms@msn.com and click on Long Family Band’s photo album.

The Long Family Band will play at the Clifton Opera House on Saturday, September 10th at 7:30pm. Box office opens at 6:30pm. The Opera House is located at 5 So Clay Street, Clifton. Call 937.767.2343 for information.
