Come join us this coming Monday April 12th for a memorable discussion about the land and its future with agricultural visionary Wes Jackson.
Wes Jackson is Glen Helen's distinguished speaker for the 2010 Ken Hunt Memorial Lecture. He is part scientist, part philosopher, part farmer and also the founder and President of The Land Institute. He will be speaking on the 50-Year Farm Bill -- his proposal to make sustainability a priority of the Department of Agriculture.
Jackson is widely recognized as a leader in the international movement for a more sustainable agriculture. He is the recipient of a MacArthur Foundation "Genius Award" and was named by Smithsonian as one of "35 Who Made a Difference."
Tickets for this event are still available on a first-come first-serve basis. Tickets are free to current Glen Helen supporters and $10 each for others. Limit two per person. Make your reservation now by calling Liz at (937) 769-1902 x103 or e-mailing lschneiders@glenhelen.org.
