Flower Power rolling, gaining momentum

Jafagirl Nancy Mellon begins the task of attaching each felt flower individually to various signposts and benches on Dayton Street.

(left to right) Beth Holyoke, Reena Appell, and Pierre Nagley are some of the local artists who participated in the Flower Power Sew-In at Brother Bear's Cafe on Friday morning, April 2, as part of the growing community effort to beautify Dayton Street.

The Flower Power Sew-In continues at Brother Bear's on Friday mornings, starting around 9 a.m. Feel free to join us and bring felt, scissors, thread, needles, buttons, and anything else you'd like to contribute. Many more flowers are needed. For more information, contact jafagirlart@yahoo.com.
