Board President Update Four – Superintendent Search
April 9, 2010
Today is the 85th day of the superintendent search since it was launched on January 14th. What an incredible, busy week it has been, and there are thanks to be given. Many accolades go to the citizens that attended the Community Receptions and Presentations this week, especially those who attended all three days. Further, all three finalists did a great job, and deserve a round of applause for the preparation and work that went into their presentations. Thank you Tammy, Richard, and Mario for the time and energy you contributed throughout the entire process!
After meeting with the Core Search Committee Wednesday night, the board selected Mario Basora as the top finalist. Next Tuesday, April 13, a team will visit Mario’s school for a site visit as part of the final steps in the search. The team is composed of a subset of the Core Search Committee. The results of the visit will be shared with the full board at the April 15th meeting. We are delighted to be at this stage of the search.
Have a great weekend!
