Let's not rain on this parade
We all know that resurrecting Antioch College, even in the best of economic times, would be a monumental feat. We all know that it is not yet a done deal. The last thing villagers need to do now is to belittle the effort. Matt Derr, Lee Morgan, and the entire group at AC3 have put so much into this, and succeeded to this point where others have failed and it was thought that no one could succeed. It is time to set aside our differences and pull together. Regardless of what the new Antioch will look like (and no one can know at this time), it is important that we give it a fighting chance. We can argue about the details later. Right now, it is too important to the village to let a negative attitude become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Apparently others are rooting against us. It's time for us to show them a thing or two. If you need any inspiration, read the comments to this article in the Springfield News-Sun: Antioch's resurrection no sure thing.
