I don't get the "this brings closure to the community bit"? He only got 5 years? That is appalling, he murdered someone. I don't get it?

We might be lucky he got even five years. Although he was the suspect from the beginning, the police waited until the day he was to be released from prison to charge him. That leads me to think they had a weak case against him and were afraid of not getting a conviction at all, and took all the time they possibly could to make it better. At least they got a deal that solves the case and provides at least some punishment. Five years in prison is not a small thing.

Timmy was cool and his killing was shameful.

Let's recall how it took the YSP about three months to locate his missing vehicle. The whole time it was sitting in a Xenia junkyard. Even civilians can call around to junkyards asking if a certain car is at the 'yard.
