Chamber: Street Fair a success despite early rain

This from YS Chamber of Commerce Director Karen Wintrow:

Despite a wet morning and sultry afternoon, Street Fair brought thousands of visitors and much fun to Yellow Springs. I spoke to many vendors who felt they did well considering the weather and I also heard from many doing fundraising that their efforts were an overwhelming success. After the rain stopped, folks gathered at the Music Festival & Beer Garden to listen to some great music and folks lined the streets to check out the always interesting items being sold.

The thank you list is long so I won’t mention specific names but it does take the entire community to make Street Fair successful. Here are the highlights: Village Staff & Crews; Miami Township Fire & Rescue; Yellow Springs Schools; Downtown Merchants; Young’s Jersey Dairy; Speedway; the Entertainers; our Volunteers; our sponsors, Antioch University Midwest, WesBanco, Peachs Grill, Jackson Lytle & Lewis, Ertel Publishing, Primary Languages, Bath Fitters, Ohio Magazine, The Other Paper, WYSO and Dayton City Paper.

I hear there has been talk of making the Spring Street Fair stay open an hour later--PLEASE DO! For those who say, no, I say the Majority should rule! It's only one day each year....
