WYSO received more awards than any other public radio station in the state, including:
- Best documentary or series: Kenney, McCord, Fromholt and LeBlanc for “My House: Facing the Mortgage Crisis.” Judges called this series “Amazing.”
- Best use of Sound: Second place to Jerry Kenney for “Stivers Students Learn Strayhorn,” first place to Juliet Fromholt for “Cedar Bog.”
- Best feature reporting: Second place, Jerry Kenney, “HIV Today and Yesterday: Alex’s Story,” and first place Juliet Fromholt, “Teens and Money.”
- Best investigative reporting: Aileen LeBlanc, second place for “Facing Foreclosure on Grange Hall Road,” and first place for “Appraisers.”
- Best enterprise reporting: second place Emily McCord “Antioch Alumni Weekend,” first place Aileen LeBlanc, “The Small Print of Plastic.”
- Best reporter: second place, Emily McCord.
WYSO general manager Neenah Ellis said, “We are proud that WYSO reporters have been recognized for their work and proud, too, of our association with Aileen LeBlanc. WYSO intends to build on this success and serve our listeners with even more local coverage of news and events.”
WYSO 91.3 is licensed to Antioch University with studios in Yellow Springs. It serves the entire Miami Valley on multiple platforms: fm broadcast, HD broadcast, internet streaming at WYSO.org and multiple podcasts.

WYSO is a gem that provides everyone with great information we all can use to better ourselves and others. We as a community make this possible by funding this one of a kind radio station.
