Proposals due by July 1, 2010 for art exhibitions in 2011
The Glen Helen Atrium Gallery is currently seeking artists for one-person and group art exhibitions for calendar year 2011. The Gallery now accepts submissions representing a broad range of subjects – a change from their past policy of showing only nature-themed art. Go to www.glenhelen.org and click on “art” to download the call for proposals. For questions contact Gallery Coordinator, Fran LaSalle, franohio@aol.com, (937) 767-2085. Proposals must be postmarked by July 1, 2010.
The Atrium Gallery is located in the Glen Helen Building at 405 Corry Street in Yellow Springs and is open seven days a week. The mission of the Atrium Gallery is to showcase high quality original art by emerging local and regional visual artists.
Artwork must be for sale and a 30% sales commission is retained by the Glen Helen Association, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support preservation and programs at Glen Helen and its 1,000-acre nature preserve. Glen Helen will provide publicity in area media and on the website. A selection committee of Yellow Springs-based art professionals will select exhibitions based on artistic merit from digital submissions of work.
