Tree-themed Sculpture Competition for Downtown Urbana: The City of Urbana Public Arts Commission and the Public Art League of Champaign-Urbana (PAL) are pleased to announce a Sculpture Competition to identify sculptures to be leased for a period of two years and sited in downtown Urbana. To celebrate Urbana’s designation as a Tree City USA, all entries should incorporate or reflect a tree theme. Selected artists will receive an honorarium of $1,500, sponsored by the Urbana Public Arts Commission. The competition is open to all professional visual artists, aged 18 and older, with public art experience that is commensurate with this competition. All submission materials must be received by the Public Art League by 5:00 P.M. on Friday, June 15, 2012.
