Antioch College Job Fair

Yellow Springs Community Foundation to fund 10 fellowships

Classes may start today, but yesterday all 35 students in the inaugural class of the revived Antioch College went looking for work at an on-campus job fair in McGregor Hall. All students will be required to do work in the village in the form of paid internships in their first year. Nine of the internships will be with local nonprofits and nine more will be with the Glen Helen Ecology Institute (GHEI). The rest will be with the college.

Town and gown:

With an endowment set up with the proceeds of a bequest from the Nolan and Richard Miller Trust, the Yellow Springs Community Foundation (YSCF) will be funding ten Miller Fellowships in the form of grant awards to the nine nonprofits and GHEI for one of its programs to pay the salaries of the interns. Representing YSCF at the Job Fair were Board President Bruce Bradtmiller, Foundation Administrator Virgil Hervey and Assistant Treasurer Perry Stewart.
