First snow of the season

I don't know about you, but I was caught totally off guard by the snow this morning. I had to scramble to get down some straw before letting the girls out for breakfast.

This is the first time I've viewed your blog.
That's nice picture of your chickens' coup.
Yes, I was surprised by the snow this morning but has been cold enough for it and with the number of people sawing down Christmas trees at the Forest School Festival in the Glen or buying them at Young's a snow is appropriate for the spirit of the season.
