Urban Handmade on Xenia Avenue in Yellow Springs is one of several area stores carrying flight-themed Christmas cards for sale by the American Association of University Women, Xenia Branch. Proceeds from the sale of the cards will go toward scholarships for Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Cedarville, Fairborn, Greeneview, Xenia and Yellow Springs High School students.The cards, which depict Huffman Prairie in Fairborn in the period 1904-05 and feature the caption: “The Wright brothers develop the world’s first practical airplane,” are priced at $14 for a pack of 20.
