Public Radio station WYSO 91.3FM
will hold the on-air portion of its fall fund drive beginning the morning of
Wednesday, October 10th until 5pm on Sunday, October 14th.
Over 20 guests will join the WYSO staff on the air including the Dayton Daily News' Ron Rollins, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra conductor Neil Gittleman, and local filmmakers Julia Reichert and Steve Bognar. Over 30 volunteers from WYSO's nine county listenership will answer phones in support of the station's $220,000 financial goal.
"The WYSO team just loves the fall drive because it's such an energizing time. It's a reminder that we exist f or our listeners - and for five wonderful days the phones ring with their voices,” says Luke Dennis, WYSO Development Director.
The theme for the fund drive is "Where Else But WYSO" to reflect the station’s unique blend of local, national and international news, entertainment and music programming. Limited edition t-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and stickers with the "Where Else But WYSO" logo will be offered as thank you gifts to donors during the drive.
Dennis says, ‘Where Else but WYSO?' is a rhetorical question.
