Yellow Springs Street
Fair is Saturday, October 13. This 1-day festival was named the
Best Place to
People Watch by Ohio Magazine, with streets filled with art, crafts, food,
music and entertainment.
Street
Fair is all about unique shopping whether from hundreds of vendors lining the
streets or our own boutiques. Of course there is great food from an array
of vendors serving international cuisine and our excellent local restaurants.
Be sure to stop by the information tent in the center of Street Fair for a try
at the WesBanco Wheel of Fortune or to learn about the programs at the new
Antioch
College .
Entertainment
is always a focus at Street Fair with the fun of an unexpected street
performance around every corner. At the Jackson Lytle Lewis Acoustic
Stage next to the Fearless Foodies Bistro, David Baugham kicks off the morning
at 10:30 followed by up and coming local musician Noah Back at 11. Street
Fair favorite Egyptian Breeze Belly Dancers perform at noon and again at 2
pm. At 3, Sweet Betsy will perform and Noah Back returns at 4 to
close out the day. While you’re there, stop by the
Greene/Soin Hospitals van for water, apples, gifts and information.
The
Street Fair Music & Beer Festival at the
Bryan Center
starts at noon and lasts until 7. Sample one of many seasonal craft
beers and some old favorites as you listen to the great musical
line-up. Soul Rebels kicks things off at noon, with new performers
every hour including the Carl Schumacher Band, Jeanne Ulrich and the
Devil’s Backbone, Ryan Judy, Ja Soul and Speaking Suns. Jones for
Revival will round out the day, taking the stage at 6 and then heading over to Peach’s Grill for a free
concert at 10. Be
sure to check out the newest models from Wagner Subaru while you’re enjoying
the music.
