The Yellow Springs Arts Council presents “Cavort,” an exhibit featuring works by painter Bridgette Bogle and mixed media sculptor Michelle Blades. A Third Friday Fling Opening Reception will be held on Friday, May 20, 6-9 p.m. at the YSAC Gallery, 309 Xenia Avenue. Bogle’s paintings depict desire and restraint, often incorporating a boundary within the composition as a way to contain the work's energy, but boundaries are overrun and excess is triumphant! Blades creates dioramas that are diminutive imagined realms, recalling tiny environments she created as a child. Elements within her pieces promote interaction within her tiny universe. The show runs through Street Fair on June 11.
