The Greene County Dailies Website yesterday reported on the outpouring of charity for YS resident Shelley Colbert who has stage IIIB breast cancer and no medical insurance.
The run will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Shelley's cancer is Stage IIIB, but we're all really hopeful about her response to chemo, so I think it's inaccurate (and, frankly, unkind) to label it terminal as the Greene County Daily article did. We had a super turnout for the 5K today. Not sure of the total number of people but there were about 125 runners and more than that many walkers, so maybe 250-300.
There's an account at US Bank where people can make contributions to a fund for Shelley.
Thanks for the correction, Laura. I have fixed it on the blog post. Unfortunately, it's not so easy to fix it elswhere.
