YSKP Creative Arts Camps

Yellow Springs Kids Playhouse will offer four Creative Arts Camps for children going into Grades 1-3 and a Song and Dance Intensive for Grades 3-6. Camps will be offered at The Playhouse, 910 Corry St. in Yellow Springs.  Complete schedule can be found at www.yskp.org or by calling 937-767-7800.

In the Creative Arts Camps, children dance, bring stories to life, do art projects, sing songs, make masks and create an informal performance for family and friends. Jill Becker is the lead teacher with YSKP alumna Alex Thorpe.  The camps meet Monday-Friday from 9-noon on: June 17-21, 24-28, July 15-19 and August 12-16^th. 

A new YSKP offering, the Song and Dance Intensive, is for youth entering grades 3-6 who want to improve their dancing and singing skills. Participants will work with Cameron Stuart (Hip Hop), Vanae Pate (Dayton Contemporary Dance Company) and Sally Dennis (singing). The Intensive meets July 22-26^th from 10-1:30 and will culminate in an informal performance on Friday at 12:30.

The YS Kids Playhouse is a theater by and for youth in Yellow Springs. The YSKP's Summer Theater Program is funded in part through the Ohio Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Yellow Springs Community Foundation, the Morgan Family Foundation and individual supporters of the YS Kids Playhouse.
