There
will be a student-led Hunger Simulation from 5:30-6:45 on Thursday, May 23 in
the McKinney / Yellow Springs High School cafeteria. This simulation is part of a student-organized
“Spring Festival to Benefit Hunger” from 5:00-7:00 PM. The goal of the simulation is to have
participants experience the reality of hunger and poverty by putting our own
faces on hungry people in the world and to call us to reflection & action. This
free simulation (with free child
care) is appropriate for individuals ages 11 to 101. If simulations
aren’t your thing, there will be plenty of carnival games and even a
screening of the recently-released documentary A Place at the Table in the school library (starts at 5:20). Hope to see you there!
To register yourself or your group for the simulation, please phone the school at 767-7224.
