Plan a holiday of new
traditions at the 3rd Weekend Fling in the Springs beginning Friday, November
16. Start your holiday shopping off the beaten path with later shopping hours
on Friday at local shops and galleries. And enjoy free horse-drawn wagon rides
around town starting in front of the Little Art Theatre from 6 to 9 pm.
Shops open late include Asanda
Imports celebrating their 4th Anniversary with refreshments and great
new merchandise. Urban Handmade is having an Open House where you can get a
$10 gift card for each $50 purchase. Sam & Eddie’s Open Books is
celebrating their beautiful new location in Kings Yard. And of course, Mr.
Fub’s Party “Toys & More” should be on every holiday
shopping itinerary.
Stop by the YS Arts Council at
111 Corry St. for
“Reincarnated: The New Forever Life of Plastic Trash. While there, you
can make a special ornament for the Downtown Tree Trimming Extravaganza. Or
bring your own ornament to share with Yellow Springs.
Entertainment for the evening includes
wine tasting and live blues from Gary Arnold and Stone Cold Soup
at The Emporium starting at 6:30, moving over to
Peach’s at 10 for Emma Woodruff & the Ruffians. Or you can take in
the movie at Little Art Theatre.
We will also be kicking
off the Shopper’s Reward Basket Giveaway on Friday night where every purchase
in participating stores gives you a chance to win a gift basket filled worth
$250. The contest lasts throughout the holiday season giving you many more
chances to enter.

stopping by a brand new juried art fair, Art & Soul: A YS Art Fair, an
intimate show with 29 artists from the region displaying and selling their hand
made fine art and fine craft.
