I need educating. How do you know exactly what a Red Heeler is going to do with a chicken? Was there ever any concern that something unpleasant was going to happen? Looks like Suki just wants to play. Is that kind of what you expected?
We used to take her inside the chicken run on a leash when she was really small, just to get her used to the chickens and vice versa. Then we would let her loose in there and she was fine. After she got a little bigger, we stopped doing that, but noticed that they were playing through the fence, especially with Pee Wee, who was usually the aggressor. So we felt pretty safe in doing this.
What a smart way to go about it. Maybe Suki will prove very useful with wayward hens and roosters. I like watching Suki's whip-fast reactions. I look forward to more video interactions. Thanks for posting that cute video.

That was cute. What a good dog.
I don't think the chickens are going to tolerate any nonsense about being rounded up.
CUTE :)

Chicken vs. Dog; I think Suki isn't going to win any battles yet...sure is cute, though. 6 months! Happy Birthday!
