Nonstop Multimedia Open House and Tapas Lounge
Saturday, July 17, 9:00-midnight

Enjoy a festive evening of fusion tapas, wine and conversation with members of the Nonstop Institute as well as artists-in-residence for the summer Local Stories Artist Residencies. This evening will feature dance, music and theater performances. Food will be tasty and nourishing late night fare and organized by Migiwa Orimo (artist). There will be a cash wine bar.

Dancer/choreographer Jill Becker, with Tricia Gelmini & Terry Hempfling, will present a lively dance improvisation with original music by YSKP guest musicians Neal Kirkwood and Harry Mann.

Theater artist Louise Smith’s performance is based on her studies of inland waters and related bodily humors in this work-in-progress that crisscrosses continents and those deep waters that can only be reached with special instruments of locomotion.

Rani Crowe will present Julia Child's Midwest Chef: Adapting her world famous cuisine for the Midwest palate. Also be sure to see Rani’s lecture/performance and talk-back based on the texts of feminist writers in the 1920's, titled The New Woman Gets a Room of Her Own on July 10, which is also part of the YS Experience.

Dennie Eagleson, photographer and NS Local Stories summer residency artist will also present work from recent documentary projects. Ryan Agnew, also a NS residency artist from Columbus, will perform.
