Due to the rising cost of building materials, demolitions are generally done more slowly and carefully than they used to be in order to allow salvage of reusable materials. I don't have any knowledge of this particular case, but that might be why it appears to be going slowly.
That sounds like a reasonable explanation. And a good practice... Which reminds me, my wife wanted me to go over there and ask if I can have a couple of those huge chunks of concrete to block off our groundhog holes.
Les is correct. The Chamber has actually gotten some inquiries from the contractor for locations that will take recycled materials. They're also interested in working as close to local as possible, both for the ease and to support our businesses.
