TLT's 6th Annual Harvest Auction, Friday, Sept. 17

Where can you bid on a Florida vacation, OSU football tickets, two kinds of seed corn, 1 week living like a pioneer, a Colonial dinner party, and famous artwork all in 1 hour? Answer: the Tecumseh Land Trust’s 6th Annual Harvest Auction. Curtis Mumma and Nancy Wilson of K99.1FM will auction off 17 exciting auction items all to benefit the land preservation efforts of the Tecumseh Land Trust. The event will be held on Friday, September 17th at 6pm in the newly renovated historic Bushnell Building in downtown Springfield.

Featuring a silent and live auction, the evening will include live bluegrass music provided by WildWater, hearty appetizers from Current Cuisine, beverages, and desserts. There are over 100 items in the silent auction and many are unique to this fundraiser. Items up for auction include handmade quilts, Oriental rugs, unique walks with knowledgeable naturalists, gift certificates to local restaurants and shops, and handmade jewelry. The silent auction will proceed from 6-8:15 PM, and the Live auction will begin at 8:30 PM. Tecumseh Land Trust is a member supported, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving farmland, and natural and historic sites in Clark and Greene Counties. The land trust has preserved over 19,000 acres in partnership with private landowners. Their goal is to preserve 50,000 acres in both Clark and Greene Counties, assuring ample food supply and clean water for future generations, while educating communities about our agricultural heritage.
