A Celebration of Yellow Springs
Saturday, Sept. 8, 5-7 p.m.
Mills Lawn School
For this "locals only" event,
YSCF has brought together a number of the village's nonprofits for an
evening of games, music and food. "We especially want young families and
new arrivals to experience first hand how the spirit of volunteerism
drives our village," Foundation Administrator Virgil Hervey said. "It is not a fundraiser."
A dozen of the village's
nonprofit organizations will have info tables, but be assured that the
evening is more about fun and games, both for the kids and the adults.
Local band the Noodle Factory, headed up by YSCF member Matt Denman,
will supply the music. The children's games will be organized by the
Yellow Springs Children's Center and supervised by students from YSHS.
The event is being catered by Youngs Jersey Dairy.
Look for us on the back lawn
of the MIlls Lawn School between 5 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8.
In the
event of rain, the celebration will be moved indoors to the MLS gym.
