School Board President Update Two – Superintendent Search

Hello Again Community of Yellow Springs!

I am pleased to report that we completed the interviews with the semi-finalists this week. Followed by rich deliberation by the three interview teams and a full discussion of the “in-depth review” data by the core committee, we have identified three finalists to move forward (Whew!). I am equally pleased, on behalf of the board of education and the search committee, to invite you to the following Community Receptions and Presentations–Dates and Superintendent Finalists

• April 5 - Tammy Carnahan
• April 6 - Richard Spindler
• April 7 - Mario Basora

Schedule

• 5:40pm to 6:10pm Community Reception (Music Room)
• 6:15pm to 6:45pm Candidate Presentation to Community (Gym)
• 6:45pm to 7:15pm Moderated Q & A

The planned schedule creates an opportunity to get to know candidates casually during the reception, as well as learn more about them in a formal presentation. Some time is also set aside to address them with questions.

Knowing that evening activities can often be difficult for families to attend, we encourage you to bring your children. Also, we are exploring babysitting with the PTO.
