In urgent need of a beekeeper
Springfield friends have a bee hive in their front yard they believe are honey/brown bees. Easily accessible, but located by a sidewalk used by school kids, they would like to remove the hive rather than to kill it. Does anyone know a beekeeper who might be interested in transplanting the hive elsewhere? Please contact Jean Payne at jean.payne@wright.edu.

The Southwestern Ohio Beekeeprs Association has a help list on this page. Suggest calling sooner than later. Bee seeing you! (Sorry, could not help the pun). Keep Suki out of them.

This from Jean Payne:
Virgil,
Thanks for posting my bee question. Five local bee keepers answered the posting on Virgil’s blog, offering to help out. I am delighted to discover now that apiculture is not a lost art, but is thriving in Greene County.
