Thanks so much for the quick post. The little nut took off after digging (another!) hole under the back fence and was gone over an hour. I'd given up hope of finding him myself and put out the word, only to have him wander back into the alley a short while later. Still took me five minutes to corner him, but he's now safely at home. Wish I could say he'd learned his lesson :-/
