Flowers bloom outside Brother Bear's

Corrine Bayraktaroglu, a "JafaGirl" ("Just Another Flippin' Artist") and one of the creators of the Dayton Street Flower Power Project, attaches flowers to the railing in front of Brother Bear's Cafe while JafaGirl Assistant Tom Osborne learns a thing or two during the weekly Flower Power Sew-In. Behind them is David Day, providing music to sew by.

The Sew-In takes place every Friday morning, 9 a.m.-noon at the cafe.

Men and women, young and old are welcome to participate. No experience necessary. Visit jafagirls.wordpress.com for more information.
