Former YS Village Manager fired from job in Washington State

Former Yellow Springs Village Manager Eric Swansen was fired from his City manager job in Sunnyside, Wash. this week, according to the Yakima Herald. The City Attorney with 17 years tenure resigned in protest over the City Council's action. Swansen had been on the job for only eleven months and he and his wife, Shelley, had just purchased a house and had moved in last week. The reason cited for his firing was "lack of communication," the article said.
