AC3 and Antioch University extend deadline

In a press release issued yesterday on the heels of a meeting of the Board of Governors of Antioch University in Keene, NH over the weekend, the Great Lakes Colleges Association (GLCA) reported that the Antioch College Continuation Corporation and the University are continuing to make progress toward an agreement to create a fully independent Antioch College.

"Given the substantial momentum on this undertaking, both parties have unanimously agreed to a June 30, 2009, deadline. This period of time is necessary to complete the extensive legal documents that will need to be approved by both boards prior to required reviews by external agencies such as the Ohio Attorney General," the release said.

GLCA has been mediating this effort since the summer of 2008.

That's not an extended deadline.. that's a reaffirmation of the original deadline.
